Daniel Allan Hale, a 31-year-old police officer from Santa Ana, California, tragically lost his life on November 12, 1977. Officer Hale was responding to a burglary in progress at a local residence when he was fatally shot. As he searched the interior of the house, he encountered the suspects, who opened fire, resulting in his death.
