Helen Lamparter was one of the victims in a tragic mass shooting that occurred on February 16, 1988, at ESL Inc., a computer company in Sunnyvale, California. The perpetrator, Richard Farley, was a former employee of the company who had been fired two years prior. Farley had developed an obsessive infatuation with a co-worker, Laura Black, which led to years of harassment and stalking.
