Patrick Bettan, a 30-year-old man, tragically lost his life on April 30, 1992, during the infamous Los Angeles riots. Born on May 15, 1961, Bettan was working as an armed security guard at a shopping center in Koreatown, Los Angeles, when he was fatally shot. The riots, which erupted following the acquittal of police officers involved in the beating of Rodney King, led to widespread violence, looting, and arson across the city. Bettan was among the many victims caught in the chaos.
