Norman Metcalfe, aged 37, was tragically killed on November 7, 1992, in Morro Bay, California, during a violent spree by Lynwood Crumpler Drake III. Drake, known locally as "Crazy Jim," embarked on a rampage that resulted in the deaths of six people, including Metcalfe, and the injury of two others. The spree began in Morro Bay and extended to Paso Robles and San Miguel, California.
