On the evening of February 23, 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the relative calm of the 3700 block of Reisterstown Road in Baltimore, Maryland. When the chaos subsided, two individuals were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One of these victims was Thomas Jr. Lee, a 38-year-old African American male. The shooting occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m., a time when the neighborhood would have been transitioning from the bustle of the day to the quiet of the evening.
