In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in March 2017, the life of a promising 24-year-old male boxer from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically cut short. Montell 'Telly' Pridgett, a Black man with aspirations of becoming a professional fighter, was shot and killed on Pennsylvania Avenue.
