Christina Smith, a 22-year-old resident of Aliso Viejo, California, tragically lost her life on October 29, 2005, in a shocking incident that left the community in disbelief. Christina and her father, Vernon Smith, were victims of a brutal attack carried out by their neighbor, 19-year-old William Freund. Freund, described as a "loner" by those who knew him, entered the Smith home and fatally shot both Christina and her father before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide.
