Andres De La Madrid, a 37-year-old Latino man, tragically lost his life on April 18, 2008, in Los Angeles, California. He was shot in the chest while driving his taxicab near 3453 Gleason Avenue in Boyle Heights around 8:15 p.m. that evening. Following the shooting, his cab crashed into a parked vehicle.
