Celestina Morando, an 18-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on March 12, 2009, in East Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred in the 700 block of South Ditman Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's office, Celestina was shot in what appeared to be a murder-suicide. The primary suspect in this case was Oscar Morales, a 36-year-old man.
