In the spring of 2017, the life of a young man, Dorian Lumpkins, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. A 20-year-old Black male, Lumpkins became a victim of the city's ongoing gun violence on the night of May 21st. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded in the 300 block of Collins Avenue, where he was confronted in what authorities have described as an attempted robbery. During the course of this violent encounter, Dorian Lumpkins was shot.
