Sheila Russo, aged 47, tragically lost her life on February 20, 2014, in Alturas, California, during a violent incident at the Cedarville Rancheria Tribal Office. Sheila, who served as the Tribal Administrator, was attending an eviction appeal hearing when the shooting occurred. The perpetrator, Cherie Lash Rhoades, the former Tribal Chairwoman, opened fire during the hearing, killing Sheila along with three other individuals: Rurik Davis, Angel Penn, and Glenn Calonico.
