John Benjamin Alvarado, a 35-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on June 1, 2014, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, the incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. while Alvarado was walking southbound on North Alvarado Street.
