Richard "Buk" Bukowiecki, the Chief of Police at Cerritos College, tragically passed away on August 18, 2014, at the age of 47. His death was ruled a suicide by the Orange County Coroner's office. Bukowiecki was found in a Super 8 motel room located on Beach Boulevard in Westminster, California, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
