On April 4, 2016, Zalaytheo C. Stewart, a 19-year-old from San Francisco, was fatally shot in the city's Portola neighborhood. The incident occurred late at night, and officers responded to reports of gunfire, finding Stewart suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
