Linda Sachs Gimbel, aged 44, tragically lost her life on October 31, 2014, in Mission Viejo, California. The incident occurred during a child-custody exchange in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Linda was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Scott E. Gimbel, aged 50, who then turned the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide. The couple's two children, aged 7 and 13, were present in a nearby car during the incident.
