Death by Force

Dennis Derr, a 52-year-old Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detective, was found dead on November 27, 2014, in the parking lot of a Walmart in Palmdale, California. His death was ruled a suicide, as he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Derr had been a veteran of the LAPD for 17 years and was working in the Van Nuys division, specializing in sexual assault cases.
