Allen Luther Thomas, a 49-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, was tragically shot and killed on January 19, 2016. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. in Exposition Park, specifically in the 3700 block of Bill Robertson Lane. Thomas was sitting at a picnic bench in Jesse Brewer Jr. Park when he was approached by a man who subsequently pulled out a gun and shot him. The assailant then fled to a nearby Metro rail station and boarded a train.
