Dejon Nellium, an 18-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, tragically lost his life on July 1, 2016. He was shot and killed in the 2000 block of J Street in South Bakersfield. The Kern County Coroner's Office confirmed his identity shortly after the incident. The circumstances surrounding his death were particularly alarming, as it was part of a series of violent events that plagued the area during that period.
