Ladaro Morrell Figures Jr., a 24-year-old resident of Compton, California, was tragically shot and killed on July 9, 2016. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of West Lantana Street, where Figures and a friend were seated in the front seats of his parked sedan. Around 1:14 p.m., two armed men approached the vehicle from either side and opened fire without any apparent provocation.
