Javier Montero, a 36-year-old resident of Wildomar, California, was tragically shot and killed in the early morning hours of July 17, 2016, in Lake Elsinore. The incident occurred along the 300 block of Avenue 5 within the city limits. Montero's death was part of a series of violent events that shook the Lake Elsinore community during that period.
