On August 21, 2016, Sergio Cabral, a 21-year-old resident of Avenal, California, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on South Corcoran Avenue while Cabral was walking with his brother and two other individuals. A car approached the group, and someone inside the vehicle opened fire, fatally wounding Cabral. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
