Rene Lopez, a 40-year-old Latino, was found dead on November 1, 2016, in the 3500 block of Emery Street in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. According to police and Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Lopez was discovered unresponsive inside a van by a person who works in the area.
