Katherine Urquilla Galan, a 29-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on December 18, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred in the 200 block of North Bonnie Brae Street in the Westlake neighborhood. According to the Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s records, Katherine was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend, Jose Torres Chabaj, a 31-year-old Latino.
