Lori Gilbert-Kaye, aged 60, tragically lost her life on April 27, 2019, during a shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue in Poway, California. The incident occurred on the last day of Passover, a significant Jewish holiday. Lori was attending the synagogue to recite the Yizkor, a memorial prayer for her recently deceased mother.
