On April 18, 2020, Anthony Leon Saldana, a 51-year-old resident of Hayward, California, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The Hayward Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 700 block of Memorial Way at approximately 9:50 PM. Upon arrival, officers discovered Saldana suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident marked the sixth homicide in Hayward for the year 2020.
