SFC Rebecca "Becky" Padgett, a 34-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Irwin, California, was found deceased at her residence on December 1, 2020. Padgett, originally from Alamogordo, New Mexico, served as a Human Resources Specialist and Observer Coach/Trainer on the Panther Team within the Operations Group at Fort Irwin. Her death was discovered by the Fort Irwin Military Police during a welfare check prompted by medical personnel who had treated her husband, Ervin Padgett, the previous day.
