Lovell Lee Johnson, a 27-year-old resident of Fountain Valley, was tragically shot and killed in Redlands, California, on December 9, 2020. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at an apartment complex located at 62 N. San Mateo St. Redlands Police Department officers responded to a call reporting shots fired at approximately 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Johnson unresponsive in a carport. Despite attempts to revive him through CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Redlands Fire Department.
The investigation into Johnson's death revealed that he had been fatally injured by gunfire. Initially, the police did not announce any suspects or arrests related to the case.
