Jose Marroquin, a 19-year-old resident of San Mateo, California, tragically lost his life on August 29, 2021. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when police responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of South El Camino Real. Upon arrival, officers found Marroquin suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite receiving emergency medical care and being transported to a local trauma center, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
