Deontae Charles Jones, a 28-year-old resident of Gardena, California, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2022. The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. in the 15600 block of South Avalon Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Jones was fatally shot at the scene.
