Lorenzo Morgan, a 29-year-old officer with the Colton Police Department, tragically died on October 27, 2022, in Oro Grande, California. The incident occurred while Morgan was off-duty. According to reports, he accidentally shot himself while parked on the side of National Trails Highway. Morgan called 911 at approximately 2:46 p.m., informing dispatchers that he had accidentally shot himself below the waist.
