On November 25, 2015, 46-year-old African American male Joe Dorsey was fatally shot in Central City, New Orleans. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Liberty Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Responding officers found Dorsey lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital by emergency medical services, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
