When the sound faded, 49-year-old Christopher M. VanCleaf, a male resident of North Main Street in Newark, was left fatally wounded. First responders rushed to the scene at approximately 2:15 a.m., and VanCleaf was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved.
