In the early hours of April 19, 2006, tragedy struck in Prince George's County, Maryland, when a young man lost his life to violence. Roger Lynwood Banks, Jr., a 28-year-old male, was fatally shot at approximately 3:00 a.m. in the 3300 block of Branch Avenue in Marlow Heights.
