In the early morning hours of June 22, 2007, a fatal encounter unfolded in the parking lot of a tavern in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Brian Comploier, a male from Crofton, was shot and killed during a confrontation outside of what was then known as Wyvill's Tavern or the 301 Bar and Grill, located on Crain Highway. The man responsible for the shooting was a security officer at the establishment.
