Angela Beatrice Randolph, aged 38, died on June 7, 2014, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Her death occurred following an altercation with a Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) police officer at the Cromwell Station light rail stop. The incident began when Officer Tracy Turpin was flagged down by two individuals regarding a disturbance involving Randolph.
