Charlotte Zaremba, a 16-year-old girl from Ellicott City, Maryland, tragically lost her life on January 1, 2017. The incident occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day when a 15-year-old boy entered her home and shot her in her bedroom. The suspect also shot Charlotte's mother, Suzanne Zaremba, before turning the gun on himself in an attempted murder-suicide. Charlotte was taken to Howard County General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
