Genesis Marie McCarter-Berretto, an 18-year-old from Gaithersburg, Maryland, tragically lost her life on May 13, 2018. The incident occurred at a party following the Frederick High School prom. Genesis was found near the front door of the house where the party was held, suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Despite efforts by first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
