Thomas J. Bomba, a 38-year-old Montgomery County police officer, tragically died on October 14, 2019, in Silver Spring, Maryland. Officer Bomba was found with a gunshot wound on the top level of a parking garage located at Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street. Despite being transported to the Washington Hospital Center, he succumbed to his injuries. Initially, there was significant confusion and concern among residents and law enforcement, as the circumstances surrounding his death were unclear.
