On a street in Baltimore, the life of 36-year-old Black / African American male, Tyrone Henderson, was cut short on the evening of May 30, 2020. He was fatally wounded by gunfire in an incident that also claimed the lives of three other individuals, including a teenager and two other men.
The shooting unfolded around 8:40 p.m. on the 2400 block of East Monument Street.
Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were dispatched to the scene following a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered a chaotic scene with multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced Henderson and two other adult males dead at the scene. A fourth victim, a 16-year-old male, was also found with gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead the following morning. The other two adult male victims were later identified, but their names were not consistently reported across all sources.
