In the early morning hours of February 12, 2021, the life of 52-year-old Guy Thomas was tragically cut short in West Baltimore. Officers responded to the 1900 block of Edmonson Avenue around 1 a.m. to find Mr. Thomas suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medics were called to the scene, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.

Initially, police offered a reward for information that could lead to an arrest in the deadly shooting. Their efforts culminated in the arrest of Darrius Jordan, a 32-year-old resident of Baltimore.
Jordan was taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with Mr. Thomas's death. Following his arrest, he was transported to Central Booking. The police have not publicly disclosed a potential motive for the shooting. Court records indicated that a preliminary hearing for Jordan was scheduled for March 24, 2021.
