In the winter of 2012, Jamie Young, a 39-year-old African American man, was fatally shot inside his home in the Parkland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The incident occurred on the evening of December 29th on Dumesnil Avenue. Authorities were called to the scene to investigate what they believed was a violent end to a drug transaction.
