Hope Alexandria Fair, a 12-year-old girl from Fountain Inn, South Carolina, tragically lost her life on December 30, 2013, in a gun-related incident. Described by her family as a joyful and happy girl, Hope was a seventh-grader at Hickory Tavern Middle School. On the day of the incident, she was at a friend's home on Hanging Tree Road when a 15-year-old boy accidentally discharged a Colt .380 handgun while loading a magazine, resulting in Hope being fatally shot.
