In the early hours of a Saturday in Greenville, South Carolina, the life of 23-year-old Jermaine Travez Cureton was tragically cut short. On December 5, 2015, in the parking lot of the Westview Homes public housing complex, Cureton was shot. In the immediate aftermath, two men brought him to St. Francis Hospital. They left him there with a gunshot wound, and he ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the Greenville Hospital System.
