In the early hours of a Sunday morning in York, South Carolina, the life of 17-year-old E'monnie Dixon was tragically cut short. On April 3, 2016, the young mother of a two-month-old infant boy found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. A student at Rock Hill High School, Dixon was not the intended target of the violence that erupted after a party. She was struck by a bullet in what law enforcement has described as a random shooting, an innocent victim caught in the crossfire.
