On a September evening in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Chizvest Summer Jr., a 24-year-old Black male, was in the California neighborhood on Monday, September 18, 2017, when violence erupted. At approximately 9:20 p.m., in the 1600 block of Prentice Street, Summer Jr. was shot.
