On June 29, 2020, 25-year-old African American female Lashawn Gadson of Reevesville, South Carolina, was tragically killed in a double homicide in Cross, South Carolina. She and 61-year-old Lori Jean Gentile of Mount Pleasant were found deceased on Poplar Hill Drive. Both women were victims of gun violence.
