A young woman is found in a 55 gallon drum in White Lick Creek
Mary Ann Higginbotham, a 22-year-old from Mooresville, Indiana, went missing on June 6, 1978. Nearly a year later, on June 5, 1979, her body was discovered in a sealed 55-gallon steel drum in White Lick Creek near Mooresville. The drum had washed from a nearby gravel pit into the creek. She had been shot execution-style in the back of the head, and her body showed signs of significant decomposition, indicating she had been killed around the time she went missing.
