Teresa Potts, a 12-year-old girl from Carthage, Missouri, tragically lost her life on October 8, 2015. The incident occurred at her rural home in Jasper County, where she was fatally shot by her 13-year-old adoptive brother, Tristan Potts. The siblings had been adopted out of foster care, and the tragic event unfolded when Tristan used a gun he had taken from their house to shoot Teresa.
