In the early morning hours of August 8, 2016, a quiet street in Saint Peters, Missouri, became the scene of a violent home invasion that would ultimately claim three lives. Daniel Patrick Donovan Sr., a 53-year-old male, was at his residence on Southwinds Drive with his son when an armed intruder forced his way into their home around 4:30 a.m. The sudden and terrifying intrusion escalated into a physical altercation that spilled out into the backyard of the property.
