It’s been really difficult hearing about Marquis Holt's tragic passing, especially given the circumstances. I can't imagine the frustration and pain his family must be dealing with, knowing that his killers are still out there. What’s really baffling to me is that the shots were fired from outside his home. This means someone knew where he was and had a plan. It makes you wonder just how safe any of us truly are in our own homes. I do hope that the community efforts by organizations like Better Family Life and the Urban League can help shine some light on broader issues by engaging with young folks to find real solutions. Gun violence is tearing apart too many families in our neighborhoods. It's comforting to see some people and groups trying to look after the youth and push for positive changes. Let's hope more people come forward with any info they might have about what happened to Marquis. His family deserves answers, and the community deserves peace of mind.
